- About -

It's just the stuff you need and/or want (or don't need and/or want) to know.

1. So are the Awards judged or are they voted upon?
Judged, my friend, judged. This, I feel, gives smaller sites a chance, since most of them tend to not have as many visitors as a larger and more established Harry Potter site. But some of the littler sites can be pretty awesome, so it's all in the mind of fairness, you know?

2. So who's judging, how many judges will there be, and how do you score the judges?
The judges will be announced at a later date (and trust me, they'll be good ones). There will be five judges and the scoring system will be the Majority Opinion System (MOS), most commonly used at U.S. and Canadian Arabian Nationals. It's a system that works spectacularly. If the need should arise, there will be a lead judge who will be a tiebreaker and their opinion will count for marginally more.

3. Can I affiliate with the Axacio Awards?
Probably. If I like your site, that is. If you'd like to affiliate, please send an e-mail to awards@axacio.com and include a URL to your site and your 88x16 button.

4. So who runs this joint, anyway?
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Irene and I run Axacio.com as well as several other domains. I'm sixteen, am "attached", and I live somewhere within the United States... though it's more fun to say I live on the moon (don't ask). My job of sorts is Web site design, which brings in some cash... hence the entire reason for Axacio.com. In my spare time I also horseback ride (I own two horses and train three others besides), go to and compete in horse shows (The Arabian and Morgan circuits for those of you that are "in the know"), go cross-country skiing (I'm #2 on my school's Varsity team), read, play FFR (best. game. EVER.), hang out with friends, and stuff like that. Oh, and design graphics and weird, pointless Web sites. Hee. My interest in Harry Potter started, I don't know, maybe three-four years ago, and I've had a few Potter web sites... some were known, some weren't. Anyway, after abandoning my last Potter site, I decided it might be fun to make an awards site to commend those sites that are exquisite examples of Potterishness. And here we are.

5. What the @#$% does "Axacio" mean?
Ah... "Axacio" is actually derived from "Axacian"... which is this one language I made up in like, eighth grade. I still use it a bit, too, but about a year and a half ago I was attempting to come up with a name for my design site (you should have heard some of them) and thought "hmm, Axacio." Axacio Farms, which came to pass after Axacio.com was established, is also the farm name I use when it comes to my horses and horse stuff. Shrug.

If there's anything else that you're burning to know, send an e-mail to awards@axacio.com. Otherwise, move on.
